Invigilo Reshaping Construction Safety Singapore

Reshaping the construction Safety scene in Singapore

Our goal at Invigilo is to reshape construction safety in Singapore through our AI-enabled technologies. The construction industry in Singapore is expected to attain a CAGR (Compound Annual Growth Rate) of 2.5% to reach S$22.5 billion by 2024. However,

  • There has been a low productivity growth over the last two decades, averaging at only 1% a year.
  • 13 fatalities were recorded in the construction industry in 2019 despite the harsh stance on workplace safety and health policy mandated by the Ministry of Manpower and strict compliance by firms.

Recently, the policymakers aiming to improve Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) have noticed the potential of deep learning & the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI). They are updating their plans on how to radically augment inspection by employing deep learning algorithms to identify breaches, among many other features, while consequently improving productivity.

Yet, as of today, adoption rates of AI and deep learning safety inspection solutions are low. There are two distinct reasons for this:

Invigilo – Reimagining Construction Safety in Singapore

Here at Invigilo, we believe that construction safety in Singapore should be of the highest standard without compromising productivity at the same time. To fully realise improvements in safety and growth, the current traditional practices have to be augmented with digital advancements.

These solutions aim to increase safety awareness & productivity on-site while answering the industry problems mentioned above:

Integrated Cross-Platform Safety Inspection

By harnessing cross platform inspection, we can analyse data sets collected from existing CCTV cameras with safety inspectors on the ground sampling data with their phones. Their insights will be linked to be processed by data analytical tools. This processing is streamlined by automatic hazard annotation and caption generation.

Data is very important for deep learning. So, the more data collected, the more accurate the identification becomes, empowering companies to harness insights and preventing safety breaches.

Real-Time Monitoring and Alert System

Through video analytics from cross platform data collection, real-time identification of hazards can be conducted on a larger scale compared to any human operator ever.

We will be able to actively identify safety violations such as:

  • PPE Compliance
  • Proximity to heavy machineries
  • Speed estimation etc.

… all from pre-installed camera systems and photo/video analysis.

This is real-time accident prevention at a low cost, while improving construction safety in Singapore.

Smart Safety Reporting

Hazards and compliance to regulations can be processed, categorised and identified from the collection of images and video data.

Safety audit reports will be generated to allow for intuitive on-demand analysis and this is customisable to the client's format and standards requested by authorities.

Through these solutions, we aim to empower companies to meet their safety goals and ensure standards are upheld as growth increases.
