Invigilo co-founder and CEO Vishnu Saran received the Philip Yeo Innovation Fellows Award in 2021. The fellowship is run by the Philip Yeo Initiative, which lists Saran among its community of fellows and grant recipients.

The programme is named after Philip Yeo, one of the architects of Singapore's economic and research development, and backs a small number of young innovators with mentorship and support. KrASIA's tenth anniversary feature on the initiative counts 37 people supported through the Innovation Fellows Programme, and names Invigilo among the ventures its community has produced.

The award came in Invigilo's earliest phase, within a year of the company's founding in late 2020, as the platform moved from first prototypes to first paying sites.

What this means for customers

Early-stage awards age well or badly depending on what the company does next. This one aged well: the start-up recognised in 2021 now operates its safety intelligence platform across close to 200 sites in multiple countries.
