The Straits Times reported on 17 July 2026 that Invigilo is one of three start-ups awarded tenders under JTC's Innovative Procurement Partnership. The awards were announced at ConTech@PDD, the construction technology event at Punggol Digital District, on 17 July. Per the report, JTC received almost 20 submissions for the first two tenders under the programme and awarded them to three start-ups. The Straits Times described the winning entries as "computer-vision solutions that monitor worksite productivity" from Vebits AI and Invigilo AI, and "robotics solutions that automate the inspection of covered drains" from MyrLabs.
The Innovative Procurement Partnership is a procurement approach JTC introduced in 2025 to reduce administrative barriers for younger companies piloting innovative solutions. Invigilo was selected through this open tender process.
What this means for customers
JTC is the project owner here, and the boundary matters: an award under a public tender programme is a procurement outcome, judged against stated requirements in open competition. What it shows is that the platform stood up to that competition on its merits, on real worksite requirements, and that a national newspaper considered the result worth reporting.
