Fortune Brainstorm AI is the artificial intelligence conference series run by Fortune, the American business publication. Its Singapore edition took place on 31 July 2024.
The session title describes the company's starting point. Invigilo Technologies, founded in Singapore in 2020, builds a platform that watches workplaces through the CCTV cameras a site already has. Its 60+ computer vision models, covering 40+ risk types, detect unsafe conditions and behaviours as they happen and alert the site team so someone can step in before an incident. The system flags conditions rather than identities, and facial recognition is not used.
What this means for customers
A conference stage is context, not proof, and customers should treat it that way. What the session offers safety leaders is a direct account of how the company thinks about the problem, from one of the people who founded it. The operational proof sits elsewhere: deployments across close to 200 active sites in construction, oil and gas, manufacturing, mining and logistics.
